The Juggler vs The Crusher

Wow what a week we just experienced!!!

We had Testing Week for our Tigers Youth and Advanced MMA Classes as well as Graduation for our current progression in Kickboxing MMA.  We also hosted our monthly STORM Team Meeting where we work on new concepts to help our students develop further.  Then our Black Belt Vlad and his fiancé said, “I DO!”.  We also celebrated the fact that we just SOLD OUT our MARS Southwest Camp 2020 for the very first time.  Sounds like the weekend is set up for some much needed R&R after all those accomplishments right?  NAH :)

We topped off the week by filming more material for our various online programs through Core Concept Coaching.  This included the majority of our up and coming Flexibility Challenge which debuts in November.  We also managed to video more Five Pillars Workout, Primal Workout, Punching Bag Workout, and our I Hate Grappling Curriculum which all debut next year.  Best of all we hosted our Tie Up Curriculum Workshop and put it all on tape as well so we can release it for you before the end of 2019.

Saturday afternoon didn’t stop for my wife and I as we drove across Texas to work more towards our goal of visiting all the Texas State Parks this year.  We have hit over 50 and have 27 left!  It’s do or die time now :)

I am bringing all this up not to brag; but to share a very important point.  Not every week is this way except when we make it so!  You see, most people spend all their time juggling tasks and feeling overwhelmed.  This isn’t healthy and it isn’t productive.  So how do you get control of the whirlwind?  How do you go from being a “juggler” to an all out “crusher?”  First take a deep breath.  Then in my opinion, implement each of these steps before you move forward.

1. Write it down.
2. Analyze the items.  If it has more than three steps, it s a project.
3. If it is a project, break it down to small steps that you can accomplish.
4. Schedule each item out.  I mean literally down to the date and time (if you can).
5. Review your tasks.  Detach and take a step back to look over the whole view and see if you have missed anything.
6. CRUSH IT!!!  Now that you have “Planned Your Work, Work Your Plan.”

This is exactly what we did with all of the above tasks last week.  We knew going into the month of October there were a lot of things that needed to be accomplished.  That being said, I believe that if you control the list and you control the schedule, your only pain is self-inflicted.  You know what the best thing about this kind of pain is?  The fact that when you accomplish whatever it is, the reward always surpasses the pain it took to achieve it.  This is the most amazing feeling in the entire world!

Give it a try and let us know what you are “crushing!”  We can’t wait to hear about it!
