WOW!!! I am always amazed at what a community we have here. We asked a very big question a few months ago to our student body. We wanted to know if they were interested in putting mats down on the rest of our floor. This would essentially double the amount of space we had for our Tigers Youth, Kickboxing MMA, and Advanced MMA. Of course the answer was… YES!!!
We measured out the space and called for a quote. We set our goal for $1200 and started fundraising. We raised the majority of the funds with our Self Defense / Tie Up Curriculum Workshop a few weeks ago. Literally we only needed $230, so we offered up a raffle contest for one of our punching bags. The most interesting thing happened. The majority of people just donated $20, $40, $50 and even $70 towards our goal and didn’t even want to win the punching bag. This is the beauty of a community that comes together to help each other grow and develop.
That being said, I am excited to announce that we have met our $1200 goal. That means the next email I send out will be to order the rest of our mats!!!
