This past Saturday, MARS Action Group and Martial Masters Class organized a Benefit Workshop for Salem Assli. Professor Salem is a pioneer in the Savate, Jeet Kune Do JKD, and Kali world. He was injured recently in a motorcycle accident and has sustained injuries that are requiring many medical procedures.
This workshop brought together over 40 virtual attendees and their prospective schools to help Professor Salem; while giving them instruction in Boxing, JKD, Kali, and Savate from Freddie Jin, Ron Balicki, and Nicolas Saignac.
Freddie Jin opened up the first hour with JKD and Boxing tweaks that everyone immediately absorbed into their body mechanics and fighting strategies. Ron Balicki did not hold back either. He opened the flood gates with tons of Lameco Double and Single Stick action. Nicolas Saignac closed the workshop with his unique style of sparring drills that featured pressured returns and follow-ups with each engagement.
A recording of these sessions will be available afterward via the MARS Online Training website to anyone that registered and donated to help Professor Salem.
