We celebrated our 7th annual MARS Southwest Camp with Ron Balicki, Nicolas Saignac, Alvis Solis, Cliff Lenderman, and Larry St. Clair sharing their martial arts knowledge. The Southwest Camp is billed as a marathon of training compared to most seminars and training camps because it hosts a minimum of seven hours of training across three days. Each instructor teaches one hour on a subject matter or martial arts discipline to enhance the attendees’ skills and knowledge. Breaks are short to keep the energy and enthusiasm running strong for the participants. This year, the camp schedule offered a strong morning rotation between Jeet Kune Do, Savate, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to start everyone off. After the first 30-minute break, attendees entered into technical skills training with Filipino Martial Arts weaponry, Jeet Kune Do Trapping, Filipino and Indonesian Silat, and Knife Throwing around the second break. Students and instructors from California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Washington, North Carolina, and New York joined in for the three-day weekend of fun.
Next year’s MARS Southwest Camp is scheduled for March 7th-9th in Austin, Texas, at Martial Way Legacy. Early Bird Pre-Registration has opened with huge discounts. Attendees will receive a camp t-shirt and certificate when they register. You can choose between two convenient payment options of $299 ($499 late registration) or 12 monthly payments of $42. This camp maxes out at 36 participants.
