MARS Southwest Camp 2024
We are extremely excited about this coming weekend!
Once per year, we host the MARS Southwest Camp here in Austin, Texas. This weekend will be our 7th annual camp from March 1st to the 3rd and offer participants a chance to train with world-famous instructors Ron Balicki, Nicolas Saignac, Alvis Solis, Cliff Lenderman, and our very own Larry St Clair.
Attendees will have a chance to study Bruce Lee's Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, Inosanto Kali, Lameco Eskrima, Savate, Muay Thai, Shooto, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Maphilindo Silat, Wing Chun, Knife Throwing, and so much more!
Zero experience is needed to learn from these amazing instructors, so join us in one of the warmest and most welcoming martial arts events of the year.

Parents' Night Out
Martial Way Legacy is hosting a Parents’ Night Out! Children will play coordination games, learn character development and self-defense, participate in a martial arts class, eat pizza, and enjoy a movie, while parents can enjoy and relax evening out or at home. Martial Way Legacy students bring a friend for free and earn a special prize! Ages 4-13 are welcome for only $20 per child.

2024 Workshop Program
We have spent weeks surveying our student body, searching for topics and the direction of training they would like to experience in 2024. We’ve reviewed all of the surveys and created a series of training opportunities to help everyone drive towards achieving their goals.
Based on the Martial Way student body, we are already in the process of updating the yearly Training Matrix for our Tigers Youth Martial Arts, Kickboxing MMA, and Advanced MMA Program with many of these suggestions. We’ve also narrowed down 12 additional topics we found you would enjoy the most in a workshop setting similar to last year’s format.
The 2024 Workshop topics include:
January 20th - Better Striking: Fakes and Feints
February 17th - Flexible Weapons
March 16th - Self Defense Escapes From Holds
April 20th - Jun Fan and JKD Wooden Dummy
May 18th - Foundation to Fight Ready Pad Holding
June 15th - Long Range Staff and Spear
July 20th - Self-Defense Grappling Against A Knife
August 17th - Takedown Counters
September 21st - Striking Speed And Power
October 19th - Stick And Knife
November 16th - Self Defense Escapes From The Ground
December 21st - JKD Trapping
On one Saturday every month, we will host a base, one-hour workshop from 10am to 11am (CST) featuring the above twelve topics. These workshops will be available to everyone in person and virtually online for only $29 each.
Based on the numbers that these 12 topics had from our student body, there will be multiple workshops that everyone wants to attend, which has driven us to create our Workshop Program again. It will include all 12 workshops discounted plus a ton of additional bonuses. An hour-long workshop is a perfect introduction to any topic, so in order to dive deeper, we are giving away an extra hour of training with this program. That will allow Program members to attend two hours on each topic and take their training further. Schedules can be challenging at times, plus there will be a few workshops you might not be able to attend, which is why we will be recording, editing, and making all twelve workshops available online to Program members in our portal. Having this as a backup will enable you to review the material taught at any time and keep progressing toward your goals.
All Martial Way students have two additional bonuses. You are welcome to invite a non-enrolled student to attend any of the 12 workshops for free, and students will also receive our newest Martial Way T-Shirt!
It gets better because all profits from the 2024 Workshop Program will be for revamping our school entrance, updating old training equipment, and adding new training tools to help all our students get closer to their goals this year.

New Tigers Youth Black Belt Club Class Starts
Happy New Year! We are excited for 2024, which will bring many great training opportunities.
The first update will be our training schedule for our Tigers Youth Martial Arts Program. We’ve hosted a Black Belt Club for the Tigers after they are nominated and committed to training and testing for their Black Belt. This program, aligned with our Elite Training Program, offers Private Lessons every week. Due to the demand and the rate at which our Tigers keep shining, we are running shorter on convenient time slots available for this upgrade in their training. To meet this demand, we have created a Black Belt Club Class that will gather every Monday and Wednesday at 530pm, directly after the standard 5pm Tigers Class. Our aim and goal with this class is to direct more attention to the curriculum and application of the Tigers focused on earning their Black Belts.
How can your child(ren) attend?
All Tigers nominated to the Black Belt Club who have signed their Black Belt Commitment are welcome to attend.
Is there an additional fee to attend the new Black Belt Club Class?
We are including our new Black Belt Club Class for free to all Tigers that have been nominated and have upgraded with the original Black Belt Club Program and private lessons. This opportunity will give them an additional two classes per week that they can attend to hone and focus on their needs.
Honorary Black Belt Club Tigers and Nominated Black Belt Club Tigers are welcome to try the Black Belt Club Class for free during January. Starting February 1st, the Class will be an additional $50 upgrade per Tiger to keep attending.
Can my child(ren) still use the original Black Belt Club Program and private lessons?
Absolutely! As long as we have available times on the schedule, we will always recommend private lessons as a great way to build toward their goals on and off the mat.
Does my child(ren) have to upgrade to either Black Belt Club Program?
In the years that have passed, we would have said it isn’t necessary; however, after watching the last four to five generations go through their Black Belt Test, we’ve noticed a significant difference in candidates that had the additional training opportunity as they approached Black Belt, versus those that didn’t. Taking this into consideration, we’ll be looking to have every Tiger commit and upgrade to one of our two Black Belt Club training opportunities by the time they achieve their Blue Belt, allowing plenty of time for us to help them develop stronger through their Purple and Red Belts as they approach the Black Belt Test.

Back to Basics
We invite you to experience the incredible power of embracing the concept of "Back To Basics" in our Kickboxing MMA Program, which takes place every five weeks. This program emphasizes the fundamental techniques, ensuring that you master the proper form while engaging in active rest activities that utilize body weight, kettlebells, TRX, and other effective training tools.
By returning to the basics, you will lay a solid foundation and gain the necessary skills to progress into new themes, topics, and advanced levels. FREE TRAINING FOOD DRIVE
Welcome to the Martial Way Legacy's Food Drive!
Our goal is to unite for a cause close to all our hearts. We don't want to see anyone go hungry and to make a difference, we need your help.
We are serious about this, my friends. We believe in the power of giving, and we've crafted an incredible opportunity for you. Starting November 1st, anyone who donates a minimum of $30 or the equivalent in non-perishable canned goods will receive a FREE MONTH of training at Martial Way Legacy! How can you participate? Well, it's simple:
Make your contribution online through our payment link, and we will purchase the cans for you. You may also purchase your canned goods and bring them directly to us with the receipt showing the value of your donation. When you do either method, we'll give you a FREE MONTH OF TRAINING between November 1st and December 16th.
But it gets better! When you donate, we will issue you a raffle ticket, and on December 16th, we will do something extraordinary to thank you for all your kindness. On December 16th, we will raffle off A FREE YEAR OF TRAINING in our Tigers Youth or Kickboxing MMA Program!

BLACK BELT TESTING
We are excited to announce we have four candidates preparing for their Black Belt Test on the weekend of October 27th. Moving up in their level mentally, spiritually, and physically will be Miss Tori for her 2nd Degree and Mr. Pedro, Mr. Gino, and Mr. Joaquim from our Tiger Youth Program.
Their exam will start Friday at 6pm with an Opening Ceremony, individually prepared Demonstrations, and a Fitness Evaluation. The real fun starts Saturday at 9am as we dive deep into all the material they have tested on since their White Belt, followed up with Sunday at 230pm with high-energy sparring, a Closing Ceremony, and Potluck for everyone to enjoy.
You are welcome to join us over the weekend to cheer them on. All Martial Way Legacy students are encouraged to sign up for a minimum of one-hour blocks to help throughout the weekend. We hope you can join us for an amazing weekend!
