The Journey to Achieving Goals

“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” Zig Ziglar

Often we focus so much on the outcome of our goals that we forget how important the journey is. Win, loose or draw…. doesn’t really matter. I always tell my students I’ve lost probably as many competitions as I have won. The one’s that matter the most are the ones I lost. We will watch the winning video a few times and celebrate. However when we loose we will watch that video 40+ times analyzing how to become better. In the end, losing makes us stronger… not winning. It builds character and helps us along our journey.

I still remember the first student I ever held back on a test. I was so afraid he was going to quit. He didn’t…. he went all the way to get his Black Belt in one Art and is now on his way to get another. He made significant career changes and life changes and is off to a great place now.

Remember it is all about the journey. What experience does it give you. What memories does it give you. Enjoy it… win… lose… or draw.

Here at Martial Way… we want to enrich peoples lives through goal setting and goal achieving. We want to create experiences that make memories that last a life time.

Come enjoy the journey with us!!!
