Be Your Own Weatherman

Some days are just going to be as bad as you let them.  It could be something simple like this morning when I dropped my liquid Stevia on the floor of our tiny pantry.  This created quite the explosion of tiny fragments of glass and sticky liquid over everything in its reach.  I was quite impressed at how much liquid was actually in the little bottle.

I will be honest, I hadn’t placed cleaning up this sticky mess on my “to do” list for today.  That caused me to definitely let out a “Grrrrr” along with my sailor vocabulary long before the sun was up.  Afterwards though, I just laughed as I slowly cleaned up the site of impact up continued making coffee.

You see, I refused for “IT” to take over my day.  I unlike the weatherman predicted correctly that dark clouds were about to head my way.  As soon as I noticed the trigger I exercised my super power of controlling my thoughts and changed the forecast.  I made my day sunny and beautiful.  This is just a small example of “Controlling Your Thoughts.”  Whether it is small or large I try to take on this mindset.

Don’t get me wrong.  There will be days where the clouds will roll in.  When the sky gets dark and no matter what you try, nothing seems to make a difference.

If this is the case, “Just remember even your worst days only have 24 hours.”  Don’t go down without a fight.  Finish what you started and complete the day.  Then when you lay your head down on your pillow think of this.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Tomorrow is my day.

Tomorrow is the day I spring out of bed a champion because I am still here fighting for what a want.
