Wooden Dummy & Trapping Workshop
There has been so much happening here it has been really a challenge to keep up. We hosted our Double Stick Workshop and Curriculum update (check out doublesticktraining.com), and then the MARS Caribbean Camp, all before taking off to feed the beast with a Thanksgiving Feast!
Now we are excited to announce that on Saturday, December 12th we will be launching our new and improved Online Wooden Dummy Certification Program with a Wooden Dummy and Trapping Workshop from 11AM to 2PM.
All Workshop attendees will have FREE Access to the Online Wooden Dummy Certification Program, which debuts the following week!
This Workshop will be available both in person, as well as virtually on Zoom.
The first 10 people that register will have the opportunity to train in person and on-site at Martial Way Legacy. Everyone else is welcome to attend via Zoom and follow along as well.
The material for this Workshop and Curriculum is ready for all participants to learn solo, partnered, or with equipment so everyone may participate. Those in-person will have a chance to use one of the TEN Dummies that we will have set up!!!
When you train in any Martial Art Style, there are always multiple tools to help you reach your goals. You see competitors in many sports using other training methods to make them stronger and faster. In Jeet Kune Do (JKD), we use many tools. We can enhance our attributes with striking targets, training partners, and even the Wooden Dummy.
Ages old, this tool helps us understand the centerline concept as well as simultaneous blocking and hitting. It teaches us tactile sensitivity and builds our coordination. Best of all, it is always there for you and never gets tired!
The Wooden Dummy also unlocks lessons on how to deploy JKD's Hand Immobilization Attack, known as HIA, or Trapping. During this workshop, we will use both the Jun Fan and Jeet Kune Do Dummy Forms to excel your self-defense and skills through our Foundation and Advanced Trapping Online Curriculums. These two formats will build your confidence by increasing your success rate with Trapping. They will also give you endless ways to challenge and advance your abilities.
