We are very excited to announce the release of the newest in our Core Concept Coaching online series, The Five Pillars Workout Program!  This program isn’t new to us here at Martial Way Legacy. We’ve been using it to achieve success in our goals and the goals of our students for years.

In the past we have spent many countless hours pushing beyond our limits to achieve World Championships. As we progressed, we found that we needed something to keep us strong between Training Camps and Events. This would include something we could use to stay healthy and continue improving our abilities for the next event or goal. What we developed was a format that fit perfectly before, during, and even after our Training Camps.  It was something we could accomplish with or without equipment. This meant we could do it while at home, at the gym, outside, or even while traveling!

The Five Pillars Workout Program is a training method that utilizes the primal ranges of motion. These include the ever-important Press, Double Leg, Pull, Single Leg, and Full Body or Core motions. By focusing on these you will gain so many benefits including losing weight, improving your strength, toning muscle, as well as increasing your speed and flexibility. Best of all, you will never get bored with your training!

"I truly enjoy the 5 pillar workouts. You target a complete body, and cardio workout all at once. I stay interested because you are moving from one workout to the next as quickly as you are able to. It challenges me to challenge myself. I always feel accomplished after."  Maria

The Five Pillars Workout will help you reach your goals in two different ways. The first is that it allows you to create your workouts with a multitude of different exercise options. The second is that it offers actual engineered workouts created to give you optimal results. This gives fresh, fun, and progressive workouts for everyone from the beginning fitness enthusiast all the way to the elite athlete.

“I enjoy the 5 pillars workout b/c in less than an hour you can get a full body workout! Most of the workouts can be done without equipment and you can take your time with each movement or try and see how many times you can get through the rounds. It lets you use your imagination to create different exercises and that really makes it fun!”  Sonja

How would you like to have an extensive list of exercises at your fingertips to create your workouts? Our Library hosts this and so much more. It offers both the instruction for each exercise as well as a unique tagging system to help filter and build personal workouts. This kind of tool opens up the possibilities of what you can accomplish.

What if you don’t want to build your workouts? Then follow along with a proven system of training that will not only keep you healthy; but also help you get results. Just select any one of our prearranged workouts, watch the example videos of the exercises, set your timer, and crush your goals!

“I love the Five Pillars workouts. I'm constantly motivated to challenge myself further and improve from the previous week, whether that's increasing weight or increasing my reps. I also appreciate how easy it is to modify an exercise to account for injuries or any other restrictions. I've certainly seen an improvement in both strength and cardio since beginning Five Pillars and I can't recommend it highly enough.”  Monica

How would it be to have a workout format that grew with you? We are excited to share that this one does. This format is 100% adaptable so that even if you are injured you can adjust any exercise. Feel free to add or even take away resistance based on your fitness goals. This makes the sky the limit and it also means you won’t ever get bored. We are always researching and looking for more exercises to help you develop which means the Library and Five Pillar Workouts will continue to grow with you!

“The Five Pillars model is an amazing way to get a full-body workout in fast and efficiently. The exercises cover a wide range of muscle groups and are almost always modifiable to suit your needs. It's a great model to use in a class setting, but accessible enough to do in the comfort of your own home. The workouts themselves are completely self-paced, so you are empowered to push towards your own specific goals. Want more cardio? Try to get in as many reps in the allotted time! Want to focus more on muscle development? Up your weight and resistance! It's an ingeniously simple model to follow in a very manageable timeframe that most anyone can fit into their schedule. If you push yourself to the end, you will feel very proud of what you accomplish with the Five Pillars.”  Katie
