Bruce Lee’s JKD - Applied Trapping

  • Martial Way Legacy 1812 Payton Gin Road, 210 Austin United States (map)

When it comes to researching martial arts, several people stick out in history, and one name is Bruce Lee and his system of Jeet Kune Do, or JKD. Within his research are the five methods of attack. This class will showcase one of the methods known as Hand Immobilization Attack, HIA, or Trapping. Trapping is where you shut down one or more of your opponent's limbs so they cannot move. Oh, and let us say it now, Trapping isn't easy. It takes developmental time over simple strikes, but much like the farmer, we must plant the seed, nurture it, and then watch it grow. Join us for an in-depth look at what we feel is a series assembled to help you gain knowledge and confidence in stopping someone from striking you while gaining the upper hand in your martial arts and self-defense abilities.

Space will be limited to 20 people per class, so call 512-821-3637 or email martialwayaustin@gmail.com now to RSVP and join us for a great training experience this month.
